Hi! I am Julia Sophie Plath, and I tell stories through handcrafted illustrations.
I have finished my MA degree at the HAW Hamburg in 2022 and have since been working fulltime as a freelance illustrator. My main fields are editorial, bookillustration and posters, but I also organize and participate in comic readings, dabble in 2D animation and am currently writing a childrensbook.
My art is often described as surreal, dark and melancholic, but it also has some twisted humour in it. I am very interested in the sublime, the authobiographical, in doppelgangers and other worlds.
